Bessie Grayson Moore

Bessie Grayson Moore, 84, of Tallahassee, Fla., passed away on May

18, 2012, surrounded by family.

She was born to James Thomas and Nettie V. Grayson on Sept. 3, 1927, in Greenville, Ala. Bessie was a sweet, witty, kind, gracious and courageous lady and will be missed deeply by her beloved husband, family, extended family and many close friends.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Peter Paul Moore; her children, Kathy (Steve) Mork of Tallahassee, Lanette (Mark) Williams of Smithfield, N.C., Justin (Susan) Miller of Pensacola, Fla.; step-children, Shari (Don) McClelland, of Tallahassee, Patti (Jerry) Cline of Battle Creek, Mich., Nancy (Dan) Randolph of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Russell of Houston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her late husband J.C. Miller, Jr., to whom she was married 36 years; and brother, Theo Grayson.

A celebration of her life was held on June 2, at 1:30 p.m. at Culley’s Meadowwood Timberlane Road Chapel, 700 Timberlane Rd., Tallahassee, Fla. Receiving of family and friends followed the service.
