Clyde A. Woodruff

Clyde A. Woodruff, 78, of 205

North Second St., Manistique,

Mich., died Monday, July 9, 2012, at his home.

He was born Dec. 12, 1933, in Manistique Township, the son of Chester and Grace (Archey) Woodruff and attended Manistique Area Schools.

From 1954-1956 he served in the

U.S. Army.

On July 16, 1955, he married the former Donna Patz at the First Baptist Church in Manistique. They lived in Wisconsin for many years while Clyde was employed at American Motors and later at Chrysler Motors in Kenosha, Wis. They returned to Manistique after Clyde’s retirement in 1989.

Clyde was a member of the First Baptist Church of Manistique.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling with Donna, and spending the last 20 winters in Texas.

Clyde is survived by his wife of 57 years, Donna M. Woodruff of Manistique; sons, Alan (Anna) Woodruff of Newton, N.H., Randy Woodruff of Manistique, Mark (Suzanne) Woodruff of Salem, Wis. and Scott Woodruff of Greenfield, Wis.; daughter, Pamela (Scott) Amborn of Genoa City, Wis.; grandchildren, Justin, Amy, Sean, Jackie, Josh and Selina; great-grandchildren, Abbigail, Sarah, Cameron, Kayden, Aleaha and Olivia; brother, Stanley (Sally) Woodruff of Manistique; sisters, Joyce Jenerou of Bailey, Mich. and Dolley (John) Woodruff of Manistique; along with nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammi Woodruff; brothers, Thomas, John, and Richard; and his sisters, Violet, Elsie, June and Betty.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 13, at Fairview Cemetery in Manistique with Reverend Jay Martin officiating. A lunch will follow at the First Baptist Church. Memorial contributions appreciated to the American Lung Association.
