‘Chase’ registration open

MANISTIQUE – There is still time to register for the annual Manistique Paper Chase, which serves as the kick-off to the July 14 Folkfest festivities. This year’s 24th annual Folkfest takes place on July 13 and 14.

The Paper Chase is a 5K and 10K race for walkers and runners beginning at 9 a.m., near the Pearl Street entrance to the mBank parking lot.

The routes will go through town, under the U.S. 2 bridge and past the marina. The 10K race continues east to the turn-around point at Glenwood Drive. Both races include a final leg on the lakefront Upper Peninsula Road Runners boardwalk before concluding at Club website at www.uprrc.org the marina. or picked up at the Schoolcraft
