Honored for service

DDA chairperson Rick Demers recently presented William “ Bill” Hentchell with a plaque recognizing his years of service as the authority’s chairperson. Bill served on the DDA since its inception in 1988, primarily as chairman. Still an active member of the board, he stepped down as chairman following the sale of his business, the Savings Agency. Under his direction, the authority constructed, developed and improved millions of dollars’ worth of projects in the district in the past 24 years.
