Girl Power

A 40-year-old tradition continued last week as the Manistique Area Girl Scouts celebrated Summer Fun Days at Indian Lake State Park. The day camp provided girls ages 5-18 to experience the Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes’ “No Girl Left Inside” initiative. Above, girls participate in an instructional kayaking session. At right, a girl scout participates in an arts and crafts session – one of the many activities available to the girls throughout the week. On Friday, girls participated in a closing ceremony, featuring skits, songs, and recognition.
