‘Recreational’ golf

The Manistique Recreation Department recently wrapped up its 7th annual Golf Outing, with teams playing to support the department and its activities. According to one organizer, Mike Powers, the outing amassed a “great turnout” this year, with nine teams competing and raising $2,500 for the Recreation Department. Above, the Graymont Western Lime team made up of, from left, Dave Kaiser, Steve Kaiser, PJ Stoll and Tom Hoholik, took first place in the event. The foursome shot a 64 to beat the Department of Public Works team on the second hole of playoff. The next event is planned for June 14, 2013.
