Northern to host camp for high school athletes

MARQUETTE – The Northern Michigan University football team is hosting a football camp for high school students June 23-24 at the Superior Dome. Cost is $125 with a $25 family discount per family member.

Walk-up registration will be accepted.

Campers will be instructed in all phases of football. The camp is designed to accommodate all positions and will offer numerous opportunities for personal, one-onone instruction. The focus will be on teaching fundamentally sound football skills, individual leadership skills and the important of teamwork

Campers will stay overnight in the Superior Dome and are encouraged to bring a pillow, sleeping bag/blanket/tent, change of clothes, shoes for indoor and outdoor, helmet and gloves (if needed).

Munising Fourth of July 5K Freedom Fun Run

MUNISING – Kick off your holiday with some fun and exercise! The annual 5K fun run starts at Bay-shore Park in Munising on July 4.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., with a start time of 8:30 a.m. The $10 registration fee includes a t-shirt.

Prizes are awarded to the top male and female finishers, as well as to the most patriotic, most humorous, most family participants, and more.
