“Kids Fishing Day” at Camp 7

MANISTIQUE - In conjunction with Michigan’s Free Fishing weekend, the Hiawatha National Forest is sponsoring “Kids Fishing Day” on Saturday, June 9 at Camp 7 Lake Campground.

Participation in the event is free and all license fees are waived. Registration begins at 11 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m. in the picnic area.

This free, fun-filled day is designed for children 16 years of age and under who are accompanied by a parent or guardian. The day’s events will include two fishing ponds, casting contest, free raffle prizes, free food and of course Smokey Bear!

Camp 7 is located on Delta County Road 442, approximately 22 miles from Manistique or 31 miles from Rapid River.
