Bears advance to finals

GARDEN – The Big Bay de Noc Black Bears boys and girls will each have five opportunities for titles at Division 3 Finals.

Kyle Reidenga qualified for the number five seed in the discus with his throw of 123-09.

Brett Branstrom holds down the number one spot with his throw of 140-07.

Cole Potvin will compete in four events. Potvin is the third seed in the 400-meter dash; eight seed in the high jump and 1,600-meter run; 14th in the 200-meter dash.

Brittany Richard enters the finals as the number one seed in two events, the 1,600 and 3,200-meter runs. Richard is also the number two seed in the 800-meter run.

Richard qualified for the finals with her time of 5:49.43 in the 1,600, 12:58.92 in the 3,200 and 2:34.18 in the 800-meter runs.

Joining Richard is Rachel Leckson in the high jump and Kelsi Stapleton running the 100-meter dash.
