American Legion plans convention for June 8-9

WHITE PINE – Members of the NONESUCH American Legion Post 462 are making plans for the summer convention of the Upper Peninsula Association of American Legion Posts. The convention will be held in White Pine, on June 8 and 9.

The convention kicks off on Friday, June 8 with registration at Post 462 from noon - 4 p.m. Following registration will be a pasty dinner, flag raising ceremony and rifle salute, a joint memorial service, followed by committee meetings at 8 p.m.

The 11th and 12th Districts will meet on Saturday, June 9 from 10:30 a.m. - noon. The U.P. Association meeting will be held at Post 462 from 1:35 -3:45 p.m. The parade will take place at 4 p.m., traveling from the White Pine Town Hall to Post 462. The day will conclude with a banquet dinner at Post 462.
