Public invited to attend principal interviews

MAS looking to fill 2 positions at schools

MANISTIQUE – Public interviews of candidates for the open principal positions at both Emerald Elementary and Manistique Middle/High School have been scheduled by Manistique Area School officials. The public is encouraged to attend the interviews, taking place on the following dates and times:

June 6: Emerald Elementary principal interviews:

3 p.m.: Christopher Marana, current physical education teacher at Emerald Elementary

4 p.m.: Andrew Alvesteffer, current elementary principal/district Title I director at Morrice Area Schools in Morrice, Mich.

6 p.m.: Eric Mason, current middle school principal at Imlay City School District in Imlay City, Mich.

7 p.m.: Christi Ryan, current music/art/Response to Intervention teacher at Emerald Elementary.

June 7: Manistique Middle/ High School interviews:

3 p.m.: Adam Nelson, current high school science teacher at Croswell-Lexington Community Schools in Croswell, Mich.

4 p.m.: Scott Morey, current 7-12 grade industrial technology teacher and part-time junior/ senior high school principal at Mesick Consolidated Schools in Mesick, Mich.

6 p.m.: Jeff Terpenning, current high school social studies/ physical education teacher and substitute high school principal at Centreville Public Schools in Centreville, Mich.

7 p.m.: John Shiner, current principal at Ontonagon Area Junior/Senior High School in Ontonagon, Mich.

All interviews will be held in the Community Room of the Manistique Middle/High School Building.
