Lady Emeralds’ winning streak ends

They narrowly took the second game, winning 7-6. Joe LeBlanc photo MANISTIQUE – The Emeralds’ winning streak came to an end Monday night when they lost the opening game against St. Ignace 4-2. Determined to get back on pace, they took the second game of the night 6-4.

According to Coach Dave Mc- Neil, the girls continue to put forth a good defensive game with only one error in each game.

They travel to Newberry tonight (Thursday).

The Emeralds head into district action on Tuesday. After a bye the first game, the Emeralds will take on the winner of Houghton and Gwinn match-up on Friday at 1 p.m. in Gladstone at Braves Park
