Degrees for two MHS 2008 grads
MANISTIQUE – Marissa “Rissa” McDonough graduated on April 28, from Michigan Technological University in Houghton with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a concentration in microbiology and a minor in biochemistry. While at Tech, she served as a disc jockey at WMTU 91.9 fm and was a member of the MTU Biochemistry Club. Marissa was an active member of Alpha Phi Omega, a Coed International Community Service fraternity. She has been accepted to St. Louis University in St. Louis, Mo., and will begin a joint Masters in Public Health. Her degree focus will be biosecurity/disaster preparedness and environmental/ occupational health. Marissa will be married on July 7, to Matthew Latterman.
Rory McDonough graduated on April 28, from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids with a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice with a minor in political science. While at GVSU, Rory was an active member of the Theta Chi Social fraternity. He is currently pursuing employment in the corrections field (adult and juvenile justice).
