Plague by injuries since the start of the season, Coach McNeil stated they have had five different players play third base alone. With the weather starting to warm up, he hopes the injuries will start to reduce and the team can stay in a regular rotation.

Despite injuries, bats were hot on the road against Gwinn Tuesday night. Manistique racked the plate for 18 hits in the opener scoring 20 runs, following a short break the scored 21 points in the night cap off 11 hits. Kalyssa Jeneoru and Haley MacGregor got the wins for the Emeralds.

The Emeralds travel to Escanaba tonight and will be at home on Monday, May 14.
