Alyce M. Wolf

Alyce M. Wolf, 72, of 549N County Road 441, Manistique (Indian Lake), Mich., died Friday, April 27, 2012, at her home.

She was born Oct. 23, 1939, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of Joseph and Adelaide (Easton) Schulte and was a graduate of St. Rose High School in Detroit. She continued her education at Macomb Community College and received her registered nursing degree from there.

On Nov. 8, 1958, the former Alyce M. Schulte married Paul Wolf in Detroit. They made their home in Roseville, Mich., for many years, moving to the Manistique area in 1991 following retirement.

Alyce was employed as a registered nurse at the Bi-County Community Hospital in Warren, Mich., until her retirement.

Alyce was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Manistique and Indian Lake Golf and Country Club where she played on the women’s league. She also enjoyed bowling in her younger years. Alyce was an avid sports fan, especially of those sports that her children were participating in. She was also an avid reader.

Alyce is survived by her husband, Paul Wolf of Manistique; daughter, Jan (William) Sciturro of Sterling Heights, Mich..; sons, Michael (Lori) Wolf of South Lyon, Mich., and David Wolf of Fraser, Mich.; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and her brothers, Joseph (Frances) Schulte of Shelby Township, Mich., and Neal (Judy) Schulte of Roseville, Mich.

Visitation was 10:30-11:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 2, at St. Francis de Sales Church in Manistique.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the church, with Father Glenn Theoret officiating.
