Hoholik accepts position as Pioneer-Tribune editor

Manistique Pioneer-Tribune publisher Lisa Demers is pleased to announce Ashley Hoholik has agreed to join the staff at the Pioneer-Tribune as news editor, effective May 7.

A 2002 graduate of Manistique High School, Hoholik pursued a degree in English from the University of Maryland, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 2008.

Upon graduating from college, Hoholik moved back to Manistique. In 2009 she was hired by the Daily Press of Escanaba as a staff writer and, more recently, news editor.

“We are excited to have someone with Ashley’s knowledge and experience join us here at the Tribune,” said Demers. “Since taking over several years ago, we have been blessed with having editors who have proven to be professional and accurate when it comes to covering news here in Schoolcraft County, and we look to Ashley to continue that reputation.”

Calling Manistique her home, Hoholik has two daughters, Ava and Belyn, and is engaged to Nathan Moulton, owner of the Farm Bureau Insurance agency in Manistique.
