Changes to fishing regulations and trout fishing opener is focus on “Ask the DNR”

“Ask the DNR” returns to WNMU TV Channel 13 in the Upper Peninsula Thursday, April 19, at 8 p.m. The show will focus on the trout fishing opener, changes to fishing regulations for 2012 and spring wildlife activity.

The hour-long program features a panel of DNR employees taking questions by phone and e-mail. Every question is answered, even if viewers have to be called back after the program.

The show will feature Denny Gast, a conservation officer from Houghton County; Kevin Swanson, a wildlife biologist from Shingleton; and Darren Kramer, a fisheries biologist from Escanaba.

“Ask the DNR” is produced five times a year on WNMU. It is aired on public television stations throughout the Upper Peninsula and northeastern Wisconsin.
