Manistique Emerald basketball standout Kyle Tiglas is presented with a certificate from local broadcasters Devin Lawrence of WPIQ and Dick Ketick of WTIQ, recognizing his selection to the class A-B-C second team chosen by the Upper Peninsula Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association. Averaging 14.4 points per game over the course of the 2011-2012 season, the senior point guard led the Emeralds in scoring with 274 points. He set a season-high 27 points in the Emeralds’ 86-81 win over Gwinn. Additionally, Tiglas averaged 5.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 3.2 steal per game.
