Lady Emeralds

Taking advantage of an early spring, the Lady Emeralds fast-pitch softball team hit the ball diamond to work out a few winter kinks before heading to Marquette this weekend to participate in the annual Superior Dome Classic. Coaches Dave McNeil and Dan McKinney will get their first look at this year’s squad when they open the tournament Friday against the Newberry Indians. A member of the Mid-Peninsula Conference this season, the Lady Emeralds kick-off the 2012 season on the road with games against Norway and Rapid River April 10-12 and will play their home debut Monday, April 16, against Escanaba.
