Nutrition Program celebrating 40th Anniversary with an Open House

Community Action Agency will be celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Older Americans Act Nutrition Programs with an open house on Thursday (today), March 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Senior Citizens Center on Main Street in Manistique.

According to Assistant Secretary for Aging, Kathy Greenlee, eight billion meals have been served to older Americans through the nutrition programs, making few, if any, federal programs more effective for the people they serve, or a better investment of tax payers’ dollars.

Cake and refreshments will be served as part of the open house celebration.
