Farm Bureau’s annual dinner and kickoff meeting tonightKewadin

began the whirlwind of pre-season activities for Farm Bu- reau members throughout the state and nation.

Late winter and early spring are devoted to conferences, seminars and meetings, and each farmer ex- citedly getting ready for another year of production farming. It is a busy season with much anticipation for another new year.

During the past four weeks Mac/ Luce/Schoolcraft Farm Bureau sent delegates (along with counterparts from Michigan and throughout the U.S.) to conferences, seminars, meetings, etc., for the purpose of strengthening, preserving and in- creasing agricultural production to maintain continually growing na- tional and world populations.

Mac/Luce/Schoolcraft delegates attended the following:

• Feb. 15, Lansing Legislative meeting.

• March 1, Voice of Agriculture two-day seminar in Lansing..

The next very important (and fun!) Farm Bureau gathering on the agenda is tonight, Thursday, March 15, at the Engadine Town Hall. The annual Superb Beef Dinner be- gins at 7 p.m. and the Membership Kickoff meeting follows.

You can RSVP by calling Terrie Slack at (906) 477-9929 or email to tslack@ctyfb.com. Dinner tick- ets are also available at the door. It would be great to see a huge crowd of members and their guests at this meeting.
