U.P. Regional Blood Center anounces next blood driveAlma

The U.P. Regional Blood Cen- ter will hold its next local blood donor drive Thursday, March 22, from 1-5:15 p.m., at the Blanchard Center, located at 401 Deer St. in Manistique.

Blood products collected by the regional center are used by 13 hospitals in the Upper Peninsula, including Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital in Manistique.

Anyone who is in good health, is at least 17 years old, and weighs at least 110 pounds may donate blood every 56 days (eight weeks).
