Knights of Columbus Council 2026 recently distributed the proceeds of its annual 2011 Tootsie Roll Drive. The yearly campaign is designed to boost special education programs at area schools and help children with special needs. From left: Richard Passino, chairman of the drive, distributed checks to Father Glenn Theoret of St. Francis de Sales School ($726.93), Big Bay de Noc School Superintendent Bill Pistulka ($422.63), Manistique Area Schools Superintendent Kathy McDonough ($1,115.75) and Raymond Segerstrom representing the Special Olympics ($300). Grand Knight Jack Roemer also issued a thank you to the entire community for its continuing support of the Mentally Impaired Drive.
